Grease to launch new UK tour with first dates confirmed

A new UK tour of the hit musical Grease has been confirmed, with initial performances scheduled across the country from spring 2027.

The production will open at Theatre Royal Plymouth on 23 April 2027, marking the start of a fresh national run for the much-loved high school musical.

Directed by Nikolai Foster, the show follows the romance between Danny Zuko and Sandy Dumbrowski during their final year at Rydell High. Since its premiere in the 1970s, Grease has remained one of the most popular stage musicals worldwide.

The score features a string of instantly recognisable songs including Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want.

Choreography will be by Arlene Phillips, who previously received the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Choreography following an earlier London season of the production at the Dominion Theatre.

Further tour dates have now been revealed, with performances planned in major venues across the UK throughout 2027. Casting and additional creative team announcements are expected at a later stage.
