New Fantine announced for Les Misérables in the West End
The long-running West End production of Les Misérables has revealed a new casting change, with a fresh performer set to take on the iconic role of Fantine.

A new Fantine has been announced for the West End production of Les Misérables at the Sondheim Theatre. Martha Kirby will take over the role from 13 April 2026, following Lucie Jones, who continues in the part until Saturday 11 April 2026.

The casting update follows a recent run of changes within the company. Harry Hepple has joined as Thénardier, with Lizzie Bea as Madame Thénardier and Jess Folley as Éponine. Also currently in the production are Ian McIntosh as Jean Valjean, Sam Oladeinde as Javert, Thiago Phillip Felizardo as Marius, Joe Griffiths-Brown as Enjolras and Izzi Levine as Cosette.

Les Misérables recently celebrated its 40th anniversary and continues its long-running West End run at the Sondheim Theatre. The production has also extended its booking period by a further seven months, with tickets now on sale to March 2027.
