The Play That Goes Wrong cast set for Comic Relief appearance

Cast members from the West End hit The Play That Goes Wrong will appear as part of this year’s Comic Relief broadcast on BBC One.

The Olivier Award-winning comedy, currently playing at the Duchess Theatre, will feature in a specially filmed sketch created for the charity event. The appearance will see members of the Mischief Theatre company bringing their trademark physical comedy style to the live fundraising show.

Comic Relief returns to television screens on Friday 21 March 2026, raising money to support projects tackling poverty and social injustice in the UK and around the world.

The Play That Goes Wrong has been running in London since 2014 and continues to attract audiences with its chaotic backstage storyline and inventive slapstick humour. The production remains one of the longest-running comedies in the West End.
